General Rules

  • Ticketholders must be 21+ years of age with valid proof of ID to attend - no one under 21 (including young children and babies) will be admitted
  • Proof of ticket will be checked prior to boarding ferries/shuttle; all guests must possess an individual ticket
  • Ticket prices do not include champagne; all champagne purchases must be made onsite
  • Wristbands void if tampered with or removed
  • Wristbands must be worn at all times
  • Guests are responsible for all personal items
  • Event is rain or shine
  • No disorderly conduct will be tolerated; unruly guests are subject to ejection

When does check-in begin?

Check-in begins 30 minutes prior to designated departure time noted on ticket. Obeying all event signage and staff and adhering to the travel guidelines noted on ticket will significantly decrease any possible transportation delays.

What time does the event begin?

Event gates open at 11:00 a.m. (with the exception of Early Access ticketholders) and the match begins at approximately 2:00 p.m.

What time does the event end?

Event ends at 5:00 p.m. and the last ferry/shuttle departs at 5:20 p.m. Return ferries and shuttles will run on a continual basis throughout the day

What if I prefer to be dropped off at Liberty State Park?

Absolutely no car drop offs at Liberty State Park for Battery Park Ferry ticketholders; there will be road closures. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail guests being dropped off MUST check-in outside of Liberty State Park Station; no exceptions.

Ticketholders must adhere to transportation method noted on ticket.

What if I am an Early Access ticketholder and miss the first boat?

All Early Access ticketholders are responsible for arriving for the first ferry in order to redeem one Veuve Clicquot sun umbrella and a pair of Veuve Clicquot sunglasses. Early Access late arrivals will be made to take the first General Admission ferry and will not receive sun umbrella/sunglasses. Fast pass privileges still apply for return ferries. Check-in for Early Access will begin at 9:15 am and the ferry will depart at 9:45 am.

Are children/babies allowed?

Due to Liberty State Park policy, all ticketholders must be 21+ years of age to attend. No one under 21, including young children and babies, will be permitted.

Is champagne included in ticket price?

Champagne is not included in ticket price. All champagne must be purchased onsite. Champagne costs are as follows:

  • Yellow Label: $20 per glass / $95 per bottle
  • Rosé: $25 per glass / $115 per bottle
  • La Grande Dame: $275 per bottle

How much champagne can I drink?

In accordance with Liberty State Park guidelines, attendees of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic are allowed to consume a maximum of five glasses of champagne, or one bottle, per person.

Five drink tabs will be included on event wristband, which will be closely adhered to by bar staff.

What do I wear?

The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic gives guests the opportunity to dress in the style and glamour of polo! Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a summer suit and women are encouraged to wear summer dresses and their most daring of hats! Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes (flats, sandals or wedges for women), as there is a 20 minute walk to and from event grounds.

How hot will it get on event day?

Weather varies but high temperatures have been common throughout the day. Guests are encouraged to wear sunscreen, stay hydrated and take advantage of the shaded areas provided. Sunscreen and sun umbrellas will be available for purchase onsite. Event is rain or shine.

Will there be assigned seating?

There will be no formal seating/assigned seating on the event grounds, and all seating is first-come-first-serve. Guests are welcome to bring blankets from home. Picnic blankets and umbrellas will also be available onsite for purchase.

Can I bring food and outside beverages?

Guests are welcome to bring outside food and non-alcoholic beverages. All non-alcoholic beverages must be sealed. As a reminder, no alcoholic beverages, including Veuve Clicquot, will be allowed onsite. Food from the city’s top Food Trucks will be available for purchase, as well as Veuve Clicquot champagne and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Will cash or credit cards be accepted onsite?

All major credit cards are accepted onsite; however, cash is encouraged for quicker transactions. Designated cash lines have been added to all three champagne tents to ensure speedy service. Additionally, the number of ATMs throughout the grounds has increased significantly.

Will there be bathrooms onsite?

Enhanced restroom facilities will be available both on event grounds as well as the ferry departure dock.

Will there be security/first aid/lost & found if needed?

Security will be stationed throughout the entire event and at each bar should a problem or question arise.
